Crisis
Does anyone else know their shit about guitars? Like, who else out there, AT LEAST, actually knows the difference between a Fender Stratocaster and a Gibson Les Paul, sonically. Yes, one looks like a tool and the other looks like a fat man. What else do you know about these guitars? Tell me, I want to know. For God’s sake, I want to see these people who actually know their shit about these guitars. I want to meet people who see these pieces of wood as works of art. Not just to converse with just another faceless figure on an internet forum.
So who else out there, can tell the difference between a guitar? Who else can tell me the difference between a single-coil and a humbucker? Who else has an obsession with stomping little coloured boxes on the ground? Who else gives a damn about this instrument? I don’t want yet another asshole who comes up to me and has the courtesy to ASK, but doesn’t give a damn when I pour my passion out to them, how much I love these instruments, how much I’m obsessed, they say. It’s as if my passion is just another sick joke to anyone out there.
Anyone out there relate with me? I need to meet more people - real people not internet figures - who give a damn and know their shit about guitars. There needs to be some sort of community where people can meet up and just talk about their latest gear or findings, a TANGIBLE location or society, not just some forum.
Man maybe I just need to get out more and get some fresh air. fuck this.
